I started working as a photographer after a long and winding road through film production and event management and seemingly everything in between from waitress to PA to transcriber to dog walker, sometimes all at once. I took a little something with me from each job, and because of that, I feel especially well equipped to do what I do now, which at its core is to observe, to listen and to be prepared for the moment.
I am an artist at heart, and my proudest accomplishment has been creating a life that allows for exploration, and the freedom to pursue the many paths on which my curiosity takes me. I’ve been teaching myself multiple forms of alternative process (think photography but in the 1880s) and am always playing with Polaroids and various film stocks. Other creative endeavors include voracious reading, a high volume of podcast consumption and enjoying my life, ideally outside.
